Positive clamping pressure for a perfect closure. For critical single use assemblies you should consider stainless steel Oetiker Stepless® Ear Clamps. The Oetiker Stepless® Ear Clamps are the preferred solution for single use assemblies that need to be sterilized in an autoclave. They are also a reliable tube sealing device for critical assemblies that will be irradiated. The narrow band concentrates clamping pressure with uniform 360° surface pressure. The Clamp ear compensates for component tolerances and the ear dimple increases clamping force with a spring-effect that compensates for changes in diameter due to thermal expansion.
The Oetiker Stepless® Ear Clamps will not fail under load after autoclave sterilization or irradiation. Correctly fixing the tube to the fitting is positive and verifiable. Integra takes this technology a step further so these clamps can be considered clean room safe and suitable for pharmaceutical operations. Every Oetiker clamp we sell is first degreased and cleaned and then tumbled in order to d-burr and polish the clamps. The Oetiker Stepless® Ear Clamps are also ideal for tubing systems that have to be incorporated with traditional stainless steel systems such as with valves and stainless barbs with sanitary clamp ferrules. It is a simple task to remove the clamp so the stainless barbs and valves can be cleaned and made ready for re-use.
